David Oleynik, Managing Director
Oleynik founded db Sound in 1989, and guided the company through multiple successful projects before changing the name to DecisionBuilders in 1997. After being hired to create credit and collection systems for law firm Hunton & Williams, and then to lead the decision support practice within KPMG Cable & Content group, Oleynik returned to DecisionBuilders in 2001.
As Managing Director, Oleynik drives the vision and marketing of DecisionBuilders, and leads the effort to create groundbreaking product in the areas of decision support, entertainment, games, and e-learning.
Oleynik is active in the Washington DC entrepreneurial community, and sits on the boards of several non-profits in the DC Metro area. He holds a B. A. in Television and Film, with coursework in Engineering and Computer Science, from the University of Maryland.
Veronica Leonard Oleynik, Managing Director
Leonard Oleynik's clients and employers have included Citibank, Microsoft, The Washington Post, Glaxo Wellcome, and Discovery Communications. She has headed the development of multi-million-dollar applications including home banking and electronic billing systems, interactive shopping and advertising, and informational/educational products. In 1999-2000, she led the redesign and relaunch of the Discovery.com web portal, accomplishing the entire project in three months. She also spearheaded the intergation of four separate customer databases for Discovery Communications.
As an information architect and project manager for DecisionBuilders, Leonard Oleynik developed a $1.5m executive information and decision support system for Paramount Pictures' marketing data warehouse, from the initial user requirement analysis to the final quality assurance process.
Jeff Howard, Senior VP, Application Engineering
Howard brings over 25 years' experience to DecisionBuilders. He has developed applications for both private and government clients, and also has a solid background in customer service and technical support. From data integration to automated updating to interactive training, Howard has a mastery of tools and techniques and a thorough understanding of business software's unique requirements.
As Senior Vice-President of Application Engineering, Howard oversees the technical aspects of all DecisionBuilders' projects, specializing in information reporting, training, and user experience issues.
Dan Honemann, Senior VP, Database Engineering
Honemann comes to DecisionBuilders from Select Associates of Timonium, Maryland, where he was Vice President of Research and Development. Over a 15-year career in software development, he has led the development and optimization of database products for high-profile clients in the legal and financial fields, taking an active role in establishing standards for database development and enhancing performance in data storage and retrieval.
As Senior Vice-President of Database Engineering, Honemann is responsible for all aspects of database development, creating the data storage and information flows that are the heart of DecisionBuilders' products.
